Since releasing the album, Megan has received huge praise for her debut offering and has been given support from her good pal Olly Murs. An insider said of Megan’s achievement: It's a huge success and she's really happy to be top of the charts. It's a dream come true as a country artist. Speaking to The Sun Online, Megan revealed she’d teamed up with one of Ed Sheeran’s songwriters on the album. The vibe of the album is me as a person, an all-rounder, not just about relationships. but it’s definitely not a slagging match, it’s very personal.

Street Songs is the fifth album by American musician Rick James, released in April 1981 via Gordy Records. Give It to Me Baby", the lead song and single from the album, became James' second number one single on the R&B chart. It spent five weeks at the top spot. The fifth song on the album, "Super Freak", was also one of James' biggest hits.

McKenna continued to write and record music for his debut studio album during 2016. During this time, he also performed concerts and appeared at festivals. He released What Do You Think About the Car? through Columbia on 21 July 2017. Songs that appear on the album that were released as singles prior to the album’s release include "Paracetamol", "Isombard" and "The Kids Don't Wanna Come Home", which peaked at number 84 on Belgium's Ultratop Flanders chart. English musician, record producer and composer James Ford, who had produced albums by Arctic Monkeys, Depeche Mode, and Florence and the Machine, produced the album, which was recorded at a Kensal Green recording studio. It featured all six of McKenna's previously released singles, as well as five new tracks.

The first track Sing Street writes is naturally the first to appear on the album. It’s the shortest of the bunch, too, and easily their most rigid; but like any band with a promising future, there’s a spark to the offering. Clark leaps from the rocky verses to a marching chorus that could turn the head of any UK outfit, from today or yesterday, and it’s all about the hooks - that key change, that disco lick, and that juicy bass line. On later tracks Girls and Brown Shoes, there’s a similar adolescence at hand, mostly stemming from scholarly rebellion, only they’re far more confident.
