Rotten Apple is the second studio album by G-Unit rapper Lloyd Banks, released October 10, 2006 on G-Unit Records and Interscope Records. The title of the album is a play on the New York City nickname, "The Big Apple". The album cover also resembles the cover of the film, King of New York. Originally the album was titled, "The Big Withdrawal", however two women Banks had a ménage à trois with in 2005 leaked an unmastered copy of the album he had left at their home.

In 2004, 50 Cent stayed on the sidelines for the most part as G-Unit affiliates Lloyd Banks and Young Buck released popular solo albums. Another G-Unit affiliate, the Game, released his debut in January 2005, and it proved the most successful among these solo spin-offs, in particular the singles "How We Do" and "Love It or Hate It," both Top Five hits that prominently featured 50 Cent. As these singles were riding high on the charts, however, 50 Cent and the Game were feuding, and the latter was acrimoniously booted out of G-Unit. By early 2017 - while still tinkering with Immortal - he issued Best of 50 Cent (BMG), which featured his biggest hits and a trio of non-album cuts ("Get Up," "I Get It In," and "How to Rob").
With an EP's worth of heat - the infectious single "Hands Up" with 50 Cent being the hottest - Rotten Apple is no disaster, and there's no doubt the G-Unit faithful will get twice as much out of this than everyone else, especially with the G-Unit universe guest list and the numerous raw, freestyle-flavored productions that sound like they fell.
