On "Out From Out Where" he pushes the limits of his imagiantion and the result is a album that fits perfectly as a movie soundtrack. Reply Notify me Helpful. I only knew Amon Tobin from his last CD, Supermodified. That CD strangely enough never really appealed to me. It had some very good songs on it, like '4 ton mantis', but the CD on the whole was rather incomprehensible and inaccesible.
Refining his dense, virtuosic production style with virtually every release, Amon Tobin entered the vanguard of electronic producers by accomplishing one of the truly difficult tasks in modern electronica: developing a distinctive sound. Though Tobin prefers grand orchestral themes over a soup of heavily messed-with samples and cavernous beats that reference turntablist rap, funky breaks, and the hyper-efficient techno of Mouse on Mars, his style ranges much farther afield than any of these.

Yet out from out here a hungry Amon Tobin steps in, gobbles up the mess and then s out pure gold. Although the majority of Out from Out Where is made up of wonderfully obscure samples, for the first time in his career Tobin drops in his own pre-recorded parts. This not only avoids complicated clearance issues but also adds a complete new set of colours to his palette, ensuring that this gorgeous work is the centrepiece in his gallery of sounds . Put simply, Out from Out Where is yet another astonishing album from one of the most consistent, singular and downright brilliant producers of the last twenty years. Now get it and get out from out here.

The album continued the trend Tobin started with Out From Out Where, as he used more field recordings during production. In addition to being included with the game, Ninja Tune released the score as an individual album in 2005, titled Chaos Theory – Splinter Cell 3 Soundtrack, several months before the game's release.
