Michael W. Smith: Worship on DVD (602341005197) from BMG Music. Inspired by the best selling album, Worship- The Video captures an evening of worship featuring a blend of songs from both Worship and Worship Again including "Above All," "Breathe," "Step by Step/Forever We Will Sing," and "I See Yo. Join Michael W. Smith and 15,000 other worshippers and experience Worship. Step by Step/ Forever We Will Sing. Smith creates another pleasing CD in "Worship Again". He weaves a pleasant mix of praise songs from the familiar "Step by Step" and "There is None Like You" to the more recent "Forever We Will Sing" and "I Can Hear Your Voice". This CD should have a wide audience of young and old because of the timeless quality of the songs and the obvious sincerity of the praising of God through song but the music from track 8 on is awesome. The only track that does not fit the album at all is the last song, not even sure what this song (I think it's about the Statue of Liberty) is doing on an album of praise and worship music to God is beyond me. All in all, worth the money for some very well arranged christian music.
By the time Smith's second album Michael W. Smith 2 was released in 1984, he was headlining his own tours. In 1986, Smith released The Big Picture. After the release of his 1988 effort, i 2 (EYE), Smith once again collaborated with Grant for her "Lead Me On" world tour. The following year, Smith recorded his first Christmas album, simply titled Christmas (1989). In 2002, Smith released a live concert DVD titled Worship, filmed live in Edmonton, Alberta at YC Alberta. The concert includes songs from both Worship (2001) and Worship Again (2002). It immediately topped the Billboard video charts and went gold in both the . Smith won the Male Vocalist of the Year award at the GMA Music Awards in 2003. The same year he also released his second greatest hits album, The Second Decade (1993–2003), which includes a new single called "Signs".
