Hot Tuna is the self-titled debut album by the American blues rock band Hot Tuna, released in 1970 as RCA Victor LSP-4353. It was recorded live at the New Orleans House in Berkeley, California in September 1969. It peaked at on the Billboard 200 album chart.

Hot Tuna started as a side project of Jefferson Airplane when Grace Slick was undergoing recovery from throat node surgery that had left her unable to perform in 1969. Founding members are Jack Casady and Jorma Kaukonen. They made up a trio with the harmonica player Willow Scarlett. For early performances Paul Kantner and the drummer Joey Covington joined in. Their first album, basically traditional blues and ragtime, was a live recording performed at New Orleans House in Berkeley in 1969. In the 1970s, becoming a full time band, the style became more rock oriented.

They continued their work with Jefferson Airplane during this project, and even though Jefferson Airplane dissolved, Hot Tuna has continued to tour to this day. Casady is considered by many to be one of the most advanced and innovative in his style.
