Amazing Grace is a live gospel album by American soul singer Aretha Franklin. It was recorded in January 1972 at the New Temple Missionary Baptish Church in Los Angeles, with Reverend James Cleveland and the Southern California Community Choir accompanying Franklin in performance. The recording was originally released as a double album on June 1, 1972, by Atlantic Records.

Daughter of Reverend . Franklin and sister of Carolyn Franklin, Erma Franklin, Vaughn Franklin, and Reverend Cecil Franklin, who served as her business manager until his death in 1990. She had four sons: Clarence Franklin from Donald Burk, Edward Franklin from Edward Jordan, Teddy F. White when she was married to Ted White, and the Christian rap artist Kecalf Franklin Cunnigham from Ken Cunningham. I don't know much about the "Queen of soul" Aretha Franklin, but she was great at performing some Mariah Carey songs in 1994, and her performance to the song "America the beautiful" in 2007 was good (she had great voice, in general). It's so sad that some great legendary black singers from the past (no racism intended) are gone: first Nina Simone, then Barry White, then James Brown, and now Aretha Franklin.
