The singing of Teresa Brewer was always producer Bob Thiele's blind spot. Although equipped with a voice quite suitable for pop and country music, Brewer always sounded overly cute and out of place when performing jazz, despite her husband's successful attempts to team her with the who's who of jazz. This CD is quite remarkable, for there are few singers who sound less like Louis Armstrong than Brewer, yet here she is singing a dozen of Satch's standards

Teresa Brewer (7 May 1931 – 17 October 2007) was an American pop singer whose style incorporated elements of country, jazz, R&B, musicals and novelty songs. She was one of the most prolific and popular female singers of the 1950s, recording nearly 600 songs. Missing lyrics by Teresa Brewer? Know any other songs by Teresa Brewer?

I think I am showing my age but when I saw this CD by Teresa Brewer I thought on my god it's her. The girl from the Ed Sullivan show!!!!! Indeed this is the cute girl with the wonderful Southern accent I first saw on the Ed Sullivan Show way back when.
