Rocky Mountain National Park Restaurants. Just returned from camping at Glacier Basin in the Rocky Mountain NP. We enjoyed our time in the campground. Clean bathrooms and great staff. We camp right across from the large meadow and enjoyed watching the elk graze their every night. Convenient and easy walk over to the park and ride which will take you to great trail heads and Estes Park. We live close by, but decided to go up to the park for better viewing of the Persiod Meteor Shower. Good all around experience. Have the parks pass got us breezing through to get in, past long line of cars.

I now live in Denver, but when I go home and see that ski jump I always think of the line in Rocky Mountain High, "Why they try to tear the mountains down to bring in a couple more more people, more scars upon the land. Guy from Woodinville, WaAlthough I was already leaning that way, this song definitely helped me take up hiking in the mountains as a pasttime. His songs were the only songs I ever learned on the guitar. Now when I listen to his music it reminds me of what all we've lost here in Colorado.
