downy (ダウニー) is a Japanese post-rock band founded by Aoki Robin in April 2000. To date they released four albums, all titled 無題 (Mudai), which roughly translates to "Untitled". Each release has a distinct yet mutually comparable sound. Members include Aoki Robin (vocals, guitar), Aoki Yutaka (guitar), Nakamata Kazuhiro (bass), Akiyama Takahiko (drums) and Zakuro (live effects). On 22 October 2004, the group announced they would temporarily cease activity.

Formed in Los Angeles, California in 1984, the early lineup consisted of Jenny Homer (guitar, vocals), Charlie Baldonado (vocals, guitar), Nancy McCoy (bass guitar), and Mike Marasse (drums), all students at local colleges.
