Brenda Lee is the second studio album by American pop and country artist Brenda Lee. The album was released August 1, 1960 on Decca Records and was produced by Owen Bradley. The album's second single "Sweet Nothin's" became Lee's first major hit single on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking within the Top 10. This was followed by the third single "I'm Sorry" released the following year that became her first single to top the Billboard Hot 100.

She had made popular standards a part of her recorded repertoire almost from the time she started making records, and it wasn't unknown for rock singers to make albums dominated by adult-oriented material in an attempt to broaden their appeal

Brenda Lee had made popular standards a part of her recorded repertoire almost from the time she started making records. It wasn't unknown for rock singers to make albums dominated by adult-oriented material in an attempt to broaden their appeal, and Lee could sing this kind of stuff well

1961 saw Brenda Lee consolidating the successes of the previous year by continuing much in the same way: touring and making TV and promotional appearances while scheduling two albums a year and a new 45 every three months. As a force in the business, the team of Brenda Lee and manager/mentor Dub Allbritten was now second only to Elvis and the Colonel in terms of prestige and accomplishment. Decca's Owen Bradley played an equally important role on the recording side

Brenda Mae Tarpley (born December 11, 1944), known as Brenda Lee, is an American performer who sang rockabilly, pop and country music, and had 37 US chart hits during the 1960s, a number surpassed only by Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Ray Charles and Connie Francis.

Emotions is the fourth studio album by American pop and country artist Brenda Lee. The album was released April 3, 1961 on Decca Records and was produced by Owen Bradley. It was one of two studio albums released by Lee in 1961 and its title track spawned from the album became a Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 the same year.
