On Anatomy of Distance, Australia's NinetyNine assembled 14 rare and unreleased tracks. Featuring songs from 1997-2001, the disc includes songs from various compilations and singles, as well as a few songs that had never seen the light of day before this release. Lora MacFarlane is at the center of every song, singing on all tracks and performing guitar, keyboards, viola, trumpet, and drums. Cameron Potts plays drums on most tracks. The disc kicks off with the moody and abrasive "180 Degrees. The mood settles on "Slow Song," with MacFarlane's strong vocals again.
