Penguin is the seventh studio album by British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac, released in March 1973. It was the first Fleetwood Mac album after the departure of Danny Kirwan, the first to feature Bob Weston and the only one to feature Dave Walker. The penguin is the band mascot favoured by John McVie. His fascination with the birds originated from when he lived near London Zoo during the early days of his marriage to Christine McVie.

Dave Liebman played on the first Mars album (1983). In 1982, Masakowski founded the Composers Recording Studio with harpist Patrice Fisher, guitarist Jimmy Robinson, and violinist Denise Villere. He often acted as audio engineer and sometimes record producer.

The group's album Wetland celebrates both Masakowski's of Brazilian music and the rebirth of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. 10 best guitarists list, Wavelength magazine (1991).

Short's first record was Penguin Shuffle (BlueRoom); recorded in 1986, the album was comprised of sessions recorded in both New Orleans and DeKalb. It was released in 1987. All of the records include Short as a participant.
