The Blues Experiment. The Waters Flow, 05:07.

The Progressive Blues Experiment is the debut album by Johnny Winter. The Progressive Blues Experiment was originally issued on Austin's Sonobeat Records label in 1968. When Winter signed to Columbia Records, the rights were sold to Imperial Records who reissued the album in 1969. Winter plays here in a trio with his late-sixties band. Several blues artists are covered including . King ("It's My Own Fault"), Sonny Boy Williamson ("Help Me"), and Slim Harpo ("I Got Love If You Want It").

Their second album entitled "Bad Times" is already recognized as a success, and their stage performance justifies just that. Each musician carries a load of experience from way back in the seventies. The Blues Experiment surfaced in 2003; initially, Glenn being the only singer/ composer in the band called it: Glenn Gillis & The Blues Experiment

Three albums in, Samsara Blues Experiment have crafted their most accomplished work yet, with a seamless and flowing blend of heavy rock and psychedelia, an individual personality and an overarching sense of purpose to each and every one of the parts on the four extended tracks. Taken as a whole, Waiting for the Flood stands as a shining example of what’s best about modern heavy psych - the forward thoughts of classical minds.

The Blues Experiment, Corolla, North Carolina. The world’s most personal and personally challenging Blues dance workshop. Now with three separate Blues weeks ranging from intermediate through masters.

Although his early Columbia albums brought him worldwide stardom, it was this modest little album (first released on Imperial before the Columbia sides) that first brought Johnny Winter to the attention of guitarheads in America. It's also Winter at the beginning of a long career, playing the blues as if his life depends on it, without applying a glimmer of rock commercialism.
