This is a private records collection of The Beatles. The owner of this collection is sure that this site will provide lots of useful information for people interested in collecting of Beatles vinyl. Information - is the main purpose of the site, however some things will be released for sale. The conceptual compilation album containing the original artist recordings of songs composed by John Lennon and Paul McCartney in the 1960s that they had elected not to release as Beatles songs. During their career as the main song writers for the Beatles, John Lennon and Paul McCartney wrote a number of songs that thay gave away to other artists, many of whom were old friends from Liverpool. Curiously, the first song that Lennon and McCartney gave away – I’ll Be On My Way, recorded by Billy J. Kramer in 1963, is also the only song The Beatles officially recorded for BBC on 4 April 1963.

This one takes on the Beatles, and while there are some interesting pairings here of musician to song (Dweezil Zappa taking on "Tomorrow Never Knows," Leif Garrett blasting through "Birthday," Jackson Browne and Robbie Krieger joining forces for "Across the Universe"), the fact remains that no one does the Beatles quite like the Beatles, which also explains why the tracks that. work best here, like David Park's take on "Day Tripper" or Sweet's rendition of "Ticket to Ride," are the ones that hold closest to the original template.

Looking Through You: A 50th Anniversary Tribute to the Beatles' Rubber Soul (2015). Tomorrow Never Knows: A 50th Anniversary Tribute to the Beatles' Revolver (2015). Big Star, Small World (2006). The Clash Tribute: The Never Ending Story (Part 1) (various artists, 1991). Burning London: The Clash Tribute (various artists, 1999). City Rockers: A Tribute To The Clash (various artists, 2002). This Is Rockabilly Clash (various artists, 2002). White Riot: A Tribute to The Clash Vols 1 & 2 (various artists, 2003). Charlie Does Surf (A Tribute to The Clash) (various artists, 2004). The Duran Duran Tribute Album (1997). Tangled Up In Blues: Songs of Bob Dylan (1996). Runnin' With the Devil: A Tribute to Van Halen (2000). Best of Both Worlds: A Tribute to Van Halen (2003). 80's Metal Tribute to Van Halen (2006). Strummin' with the Devil: The Southern Side of Van Halen (2006).

Butchering the Beatles, which brings together what are essentially heavy metal supergroups to tackle several Beatle tunes, fares a little better than most tribute albums, but it still falls way short of being anything like an essential or even necessary collection. Having Alice Cooper, Steve Vai, Duff McKagan, and Mikkey Dee tackle "Hey Bulldog," for instance, sure sounds like a cool idea, and it works to a degree, but in the end one gets the funny feeling that nothing has really been gained here, and the fact remains that no one sings a John Lennon song like John Lennon.

in CDs & Vinyl Classic Rock. This CD was included with the October 2008 issue of Mojo Magazine. It features new cover versions of all the songs from the second disc of The Beatles' The White Album. Songs are done in different styles like rock, folk, reggae and jazz. I like most of these renditions, although I didn't care for this version of "Birthday".
