Carlos Alberto Franzetti (born June 3, 1948) is a composer and arranger from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Franzetti started studying music at the National Conservatory in Buenos Aires at the age of 6 and later began taking private piano lessons. He began studying music composition after moving to Mexico in 1970. in 1974, graduating from Juilliard School, where he continued his composition studies with Vincent La Selva.

Tropic of Capricorn is a compilation album of orchestral music. Subtitled Orchestral Music by Queensland Composers, the album has 5 tracks each composed by a different composer who had either worked or studied in Queensland.
