Trevor David Pinnock CBE (born 16 December 1946) is a British harpsichordist and conductor. He is best known for his association with the period-performance orchestra The English Concert which he helped found and directed from the keyboard for over 30 years in baroque and early classical music. He is a former artistic director of Canada's National Arts Centre Orchestra and founded The Classical Band in New York.

In 1973 Trevor Pinnock founded the English Concert, an ensemble devoted to the performance of music of the 17th and 18th centuries on original instruments. Trevor Pinnock is renowned world-wide as a harpsichordist and conductor who pioneered the modern revival of early music performance with his orchestra, The English Concert which he founded in 1972. Since 2003 he has divided his time between conducting, solo, chamber music and educational projects at the Royal Academy of Music where he is Principal Guest Conductor of the Concert Orchestra.

Trevor David Pinnock CBE (born December 16, 1946) is an English conductor and harpsichordist. He is best known for directing period-performance orchestra The English Concert from the harpsichord for over 30 years in baroque and early classical music. Trevor Pinnock was born in Canterbury. He became a chorister at Canterbury Cathedral when he was 7, attending the Cathedral Choir School and later Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys.

Pinnock is the founder and former conductor of the English Concert, one of Europe's leading period instrumental and vocal ensembles.

Trevor Pinnock is internationally active as a harpsichordist, conductor and chamber musician. As a pioneer in the field of authentic performance practice, he founded the English Concert in 1972, of which he was artistic director until 2003. Pinnock has given solo concerts in the UK and Italy, and performed with the Freiburger Barockorchester to commemorate that ensemble’s twentieth anniversary. He founded the Brandenburg Ensemble on the occasion of his sixtieth birthday, with which he performed the Bach Brandenburg Concertos.
