Autumn Leaves (Les Feuilles Mortes) Lyrics. Johnny Griffin – Autumn Leaves (Les Feuilles Mortes). The falling leaves drift by the window The autumn leaves of red and gold I see your lips, the summer kisses The sun-burned hands I used to hold. Since you went away the days grow long And soon I'll hear old winter's song But I miss you most of all my darling When autumn leaves start to fall

Johnny Griffin (also referred to as J. Tenor and Johnny Griffin Quartet) is an album by American jazz saxophonist Johnny Griffin featuring tracks recorded in 1956 and released on the Argo label in 1958. The album features the first recordings made under Griffin's leadership but was not released until 1958 by which time his first Blue Note album Introducing Johnny Griffin (1956) had been released and he had attracted attention as a member of Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers.

John Arnold Griffin III (April 24, 1928 – July 25, 2008) was an American jazz tenor saxophonist. Nicknamed "the Little Giant" for his short stature and forceful playing, Griffin's career began in the early 1940s and continued until the month of his death. At eighty, he could not afford to stop. He had a hard life, but often said, as long as God has given me the gift to blow, I owe it to God to keep on blowing
