File Under Extreme" is the first album released under the TAYLOR'S FREE UNIVERSE name and this project is the Avant-garde and improvizing side of Denmark's Robin Taylor, while TAYLOR'S UNIVERSE is his more melodic outlet. Just wanted to get that out of the way. I'll always think of the Progressor site when I think of Robin Taylor because it was there that I first heard of him back around 2004.

Extreme is the first studio album of Boston funk-metal band Extreme, released on March 14, 1989. Being released on a major label, the album sold modestly well at around 300,000 units. It produced four singles: "Little Girls", "Kid Ego", "Mutha (Don't Wanna Go to School Today)" and the radio-only "Play with Me". It was not until their next album, Pornograffitti, that the band become well known.

The music of Robin Taylor is a cross-over of music in almost every thinkable direction, but with a solid foundation in rock and jazz. Though he's playing most of the instruments himself, he's been privileged to include several outstanding capacities in his productions - especially sax-player Karsten Vogel (of Burnin Red Ivanhoe and Secret Oyster fame) and trumpet-player Hugh Steinmetz (voted Danish Jazz Musician of the Year 1966). Edge of Darkness is a work without compromise, intensive, in parts rather wild, radical and maybe the strangest but - besides "File Under Extreme" - the best album Taylor has released to date. As he himself has pointed out in an interview: "Either you hate it or you love it!" I think it& great!"

Taylor's Free Universe - File Under Extreme. Robin Taylor - November. Chrysalis - Breaking Illusions. Overall, this is a superb album which shows that Anekdoten have grown into one of the top exponents of progressive rock in their homeland – and they have plenty of competition. Had I actually heard this album last year, it would undoubtedly have made it into my top ten releases for ’03, and that’s perhaps the major problem that Anekdoten face - not enough people have actually heard their music, or even know of the band’s existence. Well, now’s the time to put that right.

Some versions of the sixth Taylor Swift album come complete with a sleeve note, penned by the 27-year-old singer-songwriter. It opens with some general thoughts on social media: the rumours that abound on it are not always true, the images people present of themselves there not always reflective of reality. Then it moves on to the pressures of life in the glare of the media’s spotlight – My heartbreaks have been used as entertainment – and offers a swift rebuke to those who might attempt to interpret Swift’s songs as being about her personal life

Robin Taylor has 67 books on Goodreads, and is currently reading Fallin' For A Street King: An Urban Love Story by Michelle D. Adams, Vegan Meal Prep: R. .They will not be notified.
