Like an American Billy Bragg on speed, the Sloppy Guitarist sings and writes about late-20th-century internal and external angst with urgency and humor. He gets no points for originality, but as conscientious imitations of musical heroes go, this eight-song mini-LP is one of the better and more good-natured ones.

Pickin' Up the Pieces is the debut album by country rock band Poco, released in 1969. It was one of the earliest examples of the emerging genre of country rock.
