Saint Matrona the Wonderworker of Moscow (born Matrona Dmitrievna Nikonova, Russian: Блаженная Матрона Московская, 1881 - May 2, 1952), is a renowned saint of the Russian Orthodox Church who had the gift of spiritual vision and the gift of healing from early childhood. Disc: 1. 1. Serranita Me Publicaste - Pepe De la Matrona. 2. Me Valgo De Mi Saber - Perla De Cadiz. 3. Subasta De Cuadros Antiguos - Pericon De Cadiz. This 1997 remastered anthology of flamenco spans recordings of older artists, such as Peral de Cadiz, Manolo Caracol, and Terremoto de Jerez, to contemporary musicians of note, including Carmen Linaresa, Enrique Morente, and Gabriel Moreno. Most of the selections, all cante, are the more light-hearted or festive alegría, bulería, caracole, tiento, and fandango; however, emotionally deeper and slower styles are also represented: siguirya, soléa, and taranta. The final track is of Colombian origin. Thus, the album provides a wide survey of palo and artistic styles.

The cante flamenco (Spanish pronunciation: ), meaning "flamenco singing", is one of the three main components of flamenco, along with toque (playing the guitar) and baile (dance). Because the dancer is front and center in a flamenco performance, foreigners often assume the dance is the most important aspect of the art form - but in fact, it is the cante which is the heart and soul of the genre. A cante singer is a cantaor or cantaora. The cante flamenco is part of musical tradition in the Andalusian region of Spain.
