Betty Davis is the eponymous debut studio album by American funk singer Betty Davis, released through Just Sunshine Records (an upstart label) in 1973. The album was produced by Greg Errico and features contributions from a number of noted musicians such as Neal Schon, Merl Saunders, Sylvester, Larry Graham, Pete Sears, and The Pointer Sisters. In 2007, the album was re-issued on CD and vinyl by the Light in the Attic label.
Betty Davis' own response was her self-titled 1973 debut, a groundbreaking slab of funk that featured a huge hunk of the Family Stone (it was produced by drummer Greg Errico) and fused soul, sex, and hard rock like the best Sly or Funkadelic disc, albeit from a female perspective. She was the beginning of all that when she was singing as Betty Davis. Betty Davis never gives up in its aim to seduce and destroy; songs like "If I'm In Luck I Might Get Picked Up", "Ooh Yeah", and "Game is My Middle Name" are raw and relentless in their intent.

Across the desert plains Where nothing dares to grow I taught you how to sing You taught me everything I know And thought the night is young And we don't know if we'll live to see the sun. The best is yet to come I know, you know That we've only just begun Through the highs and lows And how can I live without you You're such a part of me And you've always been the one Keeping me forever young And the best is yet to come. Na na na na Don't look now, the best is yet to come Na na na na Take my hand, the best is yet to come
The Best Is Yet To Come Lyrics. I don't wanna be polite I just wanna hold you tight and Squeeze the truth out of you Before you walk away Let me remind you, Ray, that you're amazing You just have no clue so shy Stop running away Chorus 'Cause the best is yet to come You will never be like the other ones Your life has just begun
