Album · 2001 · 8 Songs. Concierto magico: III. Duende. Eliot Fisk, José Serebrier & Barcelona Symphony and Catalonia National Orchestra.

Balada: Piano Concerto N. .has been added to your Cart. At times in the Concierto Mágico, he transforms the orchestra into a giant guitar. At other times, the orchestra simulates the rhythmic handclapping of gypsies at a flamenco bash. Soloists are all outstanding, and Serebrier conducts with evident sympathy and enjoyment. Naxos has a real winner here. The third piano concerto (1997) strike me primarily as being a sequence of effects by which a sense of unity is achieved through immediately recognizable stylistic traits rather than anything resembling real development. At least it contains several fascinating elements, and it manages to retain the listener's interest throughout its three quirky, kaleidoscopic movements. The Concierto Mágico, Balada's fourth concerto for guitar and orchestra, has less to offer.

Concierto magico: II. Luna.

Franz Liszt's Piano Concerto No. 3 in E-flat major, Op. posth. 25a), was possibly composed in 1839. It is believed that this piece was composed before the first two concertos, but the dating is inconclusive as there are claims it was not finished until 1847. Like his second piano concerto, it is a one-movement piece. It was virtually unknown until 1989. It was identified and assembled from multiple sources by Jay Rosenblatt, a doctoral candidate at the University of Chicago.
