Head Above Water is the sixth studio album by Canadian singer Avril Lavigne. It was released on February 15, 2019, through BMG Rights Management. It is Lavigne's first studio release since her self-titled fifth studio album (2013), marking the longest gap between two of her studio albums.

The atmosphere that is present in this albums is both beautiful and strange at the same time! I've never experienced the feelings that these songs gave me in any other songs (or in any other form of art). Mikael's growls are perfect. Riffs are well written. Everything in this album is near perfect. This has the potential to be the greatest album in metal. If only more people could look past the growls and enjoy the songs as a whole. Arguably the greatest metal album ever. Listening to it always cause some kind of katharsis.

Blackwater Park was Opeth’s best-sounding record to date, thanks largely to producer Steven Wilson, also the guitarist of ambient prog band Porcupine Tree. The mix is spacious and detailed, its acoustic and electric textures meshing and flowing beautifully. Wilson added depth to a set of songs that already existed in four dimensions. Sonically, musically and lyrically, it all came together on this one. Opeth have continued to follow their singular path to ever more intriguing places, but they’ve never cut a better record than Blackwater Park.

Opeth, ‘Blackwater Park’ (2001). Titled in tribute to the early-Seventies German proggers of the same name, Blackwater Park marked the first time these Swedish death-metal virtuosos gave full reign to the progressive tendencies that had long lurked in their music. The third album by Van Der Graaf Generator won over prog fans by featuring King Crimson guitarist Robert Fripp. But Pawn Hearts turned out to be a confusingly heady trip for even the most attentive listeners. On "Man-Eng," singer/idea machine Peter Hammill showed off his operatic chops over processional keyboards and rollercoaster drums, then yowled, "How I can be free!" during a stampeding middle section that evolves into six minutes of kiting sax and keyboard abstraction.

Brisbane’s The Blackwater Fever released their third album, The Depths, earlier this year, thus confirming their status as one of the country’s most underrated yet finest purveyors of blues-rock. Tonight The Blackwater Fever descended on the Lass for a rather low-key gig, bringing their gritty blues-rock sound to a small but enthusiastic crowd. No disrespect to the Lass,.

Blackwater Park is a music studio album recording by OPETH (Tech/Extreme Prog Metal/Progressive Rock) released in 2001 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette.
