Cinematic is the sixth studio album by the American electronica project Owl City. It was released on June 1, 2018. Following Owl City's 2015 album, Mobile Orchestra, Adam Young announced that he would focus on creating musical scores rather than work on new content for Owl City. Starting in February 2016, Young released a complete album of instrumental "scores" each month until December, totalling 11 such releases

Nearly twenty years ago a juvenile Great Horned Owl walked across my yard. Standing near two feet tall and with trademark ear tufts (plumicorns) not yet forme. he was all eyes and more than glorious. It was to be a relationship of being with that blessed me for several months.
The Walking in the Forest collection is rich with the gorgeous tones of a beautiful Fall day. I knew this paper was going to be perfect to create an owl inspired project. I started by choosing my background pape. nd because I wanted to create a night-time sky, I chose the dark blue paper aptly named, Jeans. Walking in the Forest paper used for this project included: Jeans, Autumn poem, Flannel Shirt (words), Fresh Air, Knitted Sweater, Autumn in the Air, Cozy Scarf, Teal Socks, Mountain Ash, & Die Cut Sheet. Other supplies used for this project included: Ink: CTMH, Staz-On, & Ranger; Stencils from The Crafter’s Workshop, & Crate Paper; acrylic stamps from CTMH, Kaisercraft, Stampendous, & Prima; black pearl dots from Prima; punches from Martha Stewart, EK Success, & McGill.
