De Dannan (originally Dé Danann) is an Irish folk music group. It was formed by Frankie Gavin (fiddle), Alec Finn (guitar, bouzouki), Johnny "Ringo" McDonagh (bodhrán) and Charlie Piggott (banjo) as a result of sessions in Hughes's Pub in An Spidéal, County Galway, with Dolores Keane (vocals) subsequently being invited to join the band. The fiddler Mickey Finn (1951–1987) is also acknowledged to have been a founder member. Piggott named the band Dé Danann after the legendary Irish tribe, Tuatha Dé Danann.

Welcome to the Hotel Connemara was the band’s final album, released in 2000. The title was a bit of wordplay on The Eagles Welcome to Hotel California. It alarmed and delighted their fans in equal measure because it comprised completely of De Dannan’s arrangements of pop classics. Amond the songs covered were River Deep, Mountain High, Suspicious Minds, White Shade of Pale and Only the Lonely. The rest of the De Danna catalogue. De Dannan, originally Dé Danann, is an Irish folk band, from the number of successful soloists such as Maura O'Connell, Mary Black and Dolores Keane emerged. The name refers to the Tuatha Dé Danann, Irish for the Irish indigenous population. Singers alternated several times. On this debut album Dolores Keane was heard, then followed Andy Irvine and Johnny Moynihan. Early 1980s had De Dannan with singer Maura O'Connell especially in the Irish -born population in the United States great success.
