Audrey Auld Mezera put together this short collection for the 2008 Folk Alliance convention to demonstrate her approach as an acoustic performer, so it's just her and her guitar, plus some extra guitar work by Brent Moyer. With ten songs, it's a bit too long to be classified as an EP, but running only 25 minutes it doesn't quite constitute a full-length album, either. The real reason it shouldn't be considered the successor to her last album, Lost Men and Angry Girls, however, is the material, which leans toward the quirky.

Audrey Auld-Mezera (née Audrey Auld) (January 14, 1964 - August 9, 2015) was an Australian American country music touring singer–songwriter. She had released eleven albums and three EPs on her own Reckless Records label, and had recorded with numerous musicians including Bill Chambers, Kieran Kane, Fred Eaglesmith, Mary Gauthier, Dale Watson, Kasey Chambers, and Carrie Rodriguez.

Singer/songwriter Audrey Auld Mezera was born Audrey Auld in Australia and raised in the bush in Tasmania, without television or radio. She studied dancing and took up the classical violin in a musical family; her father played jazz piano, and her stepfather had a jazz band. As a pre-adolescent, sh. .

Red Dirt is a music genre that gets its name from the color of soil found in Oklahoma. Stillwater, Oklahoma is considered to be the center of red dirt music (and many acts got start in bars surrounding Oklahoma State University); but the genre also extends to music made south of the Red River in Texas. As a pre-adolescent, she moved to town and became immersed in the popular music of the 1970s, listening to punk rock in her teens. Living in Sydney, she began studying acting, soon moving into video and film work, and she spent six years as an animator. Then she moved out of the city and began performing country music.
