Manolo Muñoz began his career with Los Gibson Boys where she played famous songs like El Acapulco Rock and The Plague. He decided to leave his band and solo work putting in the beginning, the famous song La Pera Madura, Oh Beautiful, Dale Dale, Juanita Banana and his distinctive voice Speddy González. Manolo Muñoz was characterized by the time to accommodate mode of popular songs. In the 70's he produced the biggest hit of his life: Flare; with her magnificent voice and peculiar style was crowned Mr. Blaze, besides being the only singer in better interpret that song over by Julio Jaramillo. He was also one of the first soloists in Latin America to sing romantic ballads, a style that later became popular with artists like José José, Víctor Yturbe, and Luis Miguel.
