Maybe it's because I've been a fan of this album since it came out but it sounds as fresh and innovative as the first time I heard it. If you like Billy Cobham's music of this era then I'm sure you are going to like it too. While it certainly was no “Spectrum” the music of Cobham’s seventh solo album had plenty of funk, jazz and fusion to satisfy. Recorded following his tour with George Duke, some of Billy’s compositions seemed to be influenced by Duke and by extension George’s previous mentor and good friend Frank Zappa. Featuring some great performances from Billy’s ace band (American Idol Randy Jackson’s bass is prominent) and of course Cobham’s instantly recognizable drumming the album swings and delights with his own unique compositions.
