Bruce Dickinson, a British heavy metal singer, has released six studio albums, two live albums, one compilation, ten singles, three video albums, fourteen music videos, and one box set. In 1979, after playing in local groups, Dickinson joined hard rock band Samson. He departed after two years to become Iron Maiden's lead vocalist. His debut with this band is considered a "masterpiece", which was followed with a series of top-ten releases.

Skunkworks is an alternative rock album released in 1996 by Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson. The singer had intended Skunkworks to be the debut album of a band by the same name. However, his label would not issue the record under any name other than Bruce Dickinson. The album moved from Maiden's progressive style to an alternative rock sound similar to bands such as Soundgarden, with lyrics about science and technology. Its name refers to the code name for a military testing program

Aside from his musical career Dickinson is also active as commercial airplane pilot, screenwriter, fencer, entrepreneur, broadcaster, author, director and actor. For the Sony producer, see Bruce Dickinson (2). Father of singer Austin Dickinson, cousin of Catherine Wheel's singer Rob Dickinson. Owner of Duellist Holdings Ltd.

Bruce Dickinson not only claims the 'Iron Maiden' album 'sounded like a sack of s-t,' but that bassist, creative mastermind Steve Harris 'hates that record. Speaking with Spin about Iron Maiden's original sound, Bruce Dickinson distanced Maiden from the "punk rock" label attributed to Iron Maiden and Killers. If you look at all the old Steve Harris interviews - he hates punk rock," says Dickinson. The first Maiden album sounded punky because it sounded like a sack of s–t. He hates that record. The first singer gave it a little bit of that kind of vibe, but the punk thing was nailed to the band by the press. The band absolutely hated it, because there was no way on God’s green earth Maiden were ever, even remotely,.

Lyrics to 'Back from The Edge' by Bruce Dickinson. A silent river flowing black Strange attractors, no turning back Present danger I recall That pins my senses to the wall. I fell from grace, and that's a fact I still have urges, I fight back Cold decisions wear me thin Kill yourself, begin again. Back from the edge Back from the edge Back from the edge. Now and then I wonder where The faces from my childhood have gone Like father, like son In your bones it lives on Glowing shadows.
