The Smiths is the eponymous debut studio album by English rock band the Smiths, released on 20 February 1984 by Rough Trade Records. After the original production by Troy Tate was felt to be inadequate, John Porter re-recorded the album in London, Manchester and Stockport during breaks in the band's UK tour during September 1983. The album was well received by critics and listeners, and reached number two on the UK Albums Chart, staying on the chart for 33 weeks

Big Smith, an acoustic string band from Springfield, M. is made up of five cousins. Rik Thomas is joined by two sets of brothers - Mark and Jody Bilyeu, Jay and Mike Williamson. They play a wide a variety of folk instruments - guitar, harmonica, mandolin, accordion, piano, washboard, drums, spoons, bones, bass, trumpet, trombone, tuba, mouthbow, dulcimer, triangle, tin whistle, and clip-clops. Preserving their Smith family traditions is another important benefit of this album. This is simply an ideal way to introduce "children, big and little" to the frolicking and fun-filled acoustic sounds of folk and old-timey music. Joe Ross, staff writer, Bluegrass Now).

Kin (stylised in lowercase letters) is the debut studio album by Swedish audiovisual project iamamiwhoami, led by singer and songwriter Jonna Lee. The album's lead single "Sever" was released digitally on 15 February 2012, followed by the release of each of the album's tracks once every fortnight throughout the spring of 2012
