Love Is Dead is the debut studio album by Estonian recording artist Kerli. It was released in the United States on July 8, 2008 by Island Records. Love Is Dead is a pop, rock and electronica record which incorporates gothic influences. Its sound has been noted to contain influences from the music of artists such as Natasha Bedingfield and Björk, while it has been described as both uplifting and dark.
Guðrið Hansdóttir is a Faroese Musician/Artist. Her sound is a mixture between pop/folk and electronic music. She has released 4 solo albums and is also known as the other half of the Faroese Electro Duo called BYRTA. Guðrið Hansdóttir grew up in Argir near Tórshavn. She is the daughter of Louisa and Hans Carl Hansen. Later she became a popular singer/songwriter on the Faroe Islands and 2007 she released her debut album Love is Dead and the album was well received by critics. After her third album Beyond the Grey was released in June 2011 she moved to Reykjavík, Iceland to concentrate fully on music. She performed in various places in Iceland and also toured in Europe and USA. While living in Reykjavík she met Janus Rasmussen (Bloodgroup, Kiasmos) and they started making music together.

Guðrið Hansdóttir (born 6 October 1980 in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands) is a Faroese singer, songwriter, composer, and musician. She has released three full studio albums and has released an EP called "Taking Ship" on January 24, 2014 in the United States, in February in Europe. Taking Ship has seven songs which are poems by Heinrich Heine in English translation, except for one of Heine's poems which is in Faroese translation by Poul F. Joensen, Tú hevur tær dýrastu perlur.
