New York is the fifteenth solo studio album by American musician Lou Reed, released in January 1989 by Sire Records. The album received universal critical success upon release, and is widely considered to be among Reed's strongest solo efforts. It is highly regarded for the strength and force of its lyrical content; Reed stated that he required simple music so that it would not distract from his frank lyrics. The single "Dirty Blvd.
Original Motion Picture Soundtrack of "Home Alone 2: Lost In New York", directed by Chris Columbus. Music recorded at the Sony Pictures Studios Scoring Stage, September 28, 29, October 1, 5, 6, 12, 14 & 15 1992. While I enjoy the first Home Alone I've always found the sequel to be bigger in scope and John Williams famous music expands beyond the parameters of his Oscar-nominated effort on the original. Not only does he bring back his wonderful themes but greatly expands on them with a bunch of new Christmas carols with delightfully festive melodies.

It's 25 years old this month. Everyone’s favourite Christmas sequel Home Alone 2 turns 25 this month. To celebrate the festive milestone, we’ve rounded up these interesting facts you probably didn’t know about it. Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal. Macauley Culkin made the big bucks. Joe Pesci treated Macauley mean. Apparently, Culkin once asked Joe Pesci why he never smiled. He reportedly told him to shut up, explaining later, he’s pampered a lot by a lot of people, but not.
This very promising mixtape from the up-and-coming New York rapper is filled with booze-soaked, antisocial rants that are detailed and funny but also show a surprising vulnerability. Guests include Das Racist and kindred spirt Danny Brown. His cantankerous and bullish flow can be traced to all purveyors of unwashed hoodie rap, but he boasts of a "Vote for Pedro" tattoo representing the underdog and all of the alcohol being abused is within the budget of the listener.

Even so, the optimism on the album, titled The Lost Mile, isn't necessarily something Scannell and Co. were hoping for when going into making it. A lot of these songs are love letters and glass-is-half-full songs, and I don’t feel particularly comfortable with that, Scannell admits. I have an inherent dislike for snappy, happy, the-world-is-great songs because I think reality is never black or white - it’s always a shade of gray. So, if you tell me everything’s perfect, I’ll call you on it, and I don’t want to be the guy who then turns around and makes a shiny, happy record.
