As house debuts go, it's rather enjoyable. Wadsworth's preset mode is to fuse wonky, pitched-down vocals and Brett Johnson-ish clanking electronic noises with creeping chords, shuffling rhythms and melancholic melodies. There's plenty of that on Life & Death, of course, but it doesn't overpower the album.
