Elly Ameling, heiress to Elisabeth Schumann and Victoria de los Angeles as a charmer and consoler in song, sang as her attentive audience knew she would sing at a sold-out Tully Hall yesterday afternoon. Miss Ameling is rightly best prized for grace, vivacity and tenderness and wit. These were there, where expected: Debussy's ''Placet futile'' and ''Eventail'' had the most aristocratic sort of charm, Wolf's ' and ''Elfenlied'' the dearest. Rudolf Jansen was the excellent - and in some of the Wolf songs, magnificent - pianist.
