Includes postcard of Liam Hayes. Includes sticker on cover, which states "LIAM HAYES is plush, plush is liam hayes'. Slurrup ‎(CD, Album, Promo).

Liam Hayes is an accidental perfectionist. In hindsight, the ee-based songwriter’s disjointed two-decade trajectory-under his nom de pop Plush and, now, his birth name-was pretty much spelled out in the title of his early signature "Soaring and Boring": high expectations followed by agonizingly long periods of inactivity. Slurrup is actually the third album he’s put out this decade so far, following last year’s Japanese issue Korp Sole Roller and a soundtrack for Roman Coppola’s (widely panned) Jason Schwartzman vehicle A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III that also doubled as a career overview. But this is the first to receive a proper Stateside release since 2009’s Bright Penny, whose "Liam Hayes & Plush" branding offered the first hint that Hayes was eager to step out from the long shadow cast by his enigmatic alias.

This album has an average beat per minute of 130 BPM (slowest/fastest tempos: 86/180 BPM). See its BPM profile at the bottom of the page. Album starts at 138BPM, ends at 180BPM (+42), with tempos within the -BPM range. Try refreshing the page if dots are missing).

Slurrup is the fifth studio album by American artist Liam Hayes, released in January 2015. It is full of short and tight songs with searing double tracked guitars and odd keyboards, which contrasts with the expansive, ornate pop of his previous album, Korp Sole Roller. Liam Hayes and Nathan Cook produced the album together in Chicago Background and recording.

Liam Hayes’s fifth album comes surprisingly soon after his fourth, but its quality isn’t compromised at all, writes Kitty Empire. This latest, fifth, surprisingly perky, psychedelic doodle on Hayes’s own great American songbook arrives in an uncharacteristic rush after last autumn’s only semi-expected Korp Sole Roller album. Here, short sharp songs such as Get It Right could be about love or the perfectionist’s creative process; likewise Fokus, another deliriously pacey romp.

Pitchfork reckon the third album, and first for Epitaph, from the Philadelphia punk band is "one of the best punk rock records of the year' while Exclaim describe it as "a triumph". Fifth release from the Chicago-born musician who has also released albums under the name Plush.
