L was recorded at several shows from mo. s Fall 1999 tour, Former drummer Jim Loughlin returned to the band earlier in the year as a multi-instrumental utility man, adding to the drum work of Vinnie Amico. This set features the first released versions of "Can't Seem To Find" and "Captain America", predating their release on Dither by eight months. The album reached a peak position of on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. Jammy Award winner (2000) for best live archival release.

Though moe. have always been appreciated for their humorous take on music and performing, they have always been underrated. Jam ability, talent, and they're even underrated in an underrated genre. They are of course a Jam Band, so they strongly rely on influence, live performances, cult followings, and jamming. Their main influences could possibly be Funk, Country, Reggae, Blues, Jazz, ect. They play plenty of genres, and show off many on this album. No Doy is by most said to be a mediocre album by moe. However, I would most definitely disagree and say it's their best. Few bands can keep such a consistent trail of fabulous tracks like moe. can on this album. From "She Sends Me" to "Spine of a Dog" the songs are fantastic. And each giving a different side of moe. Like "She Sends Me" showing their fantastic talent for tempo changes.

Unfortunately, it's clear that they haven't been able to harness their live power in the studio, making No Doy a fitfully engaging record, but one that shows great promise nonetheless.
